Aeolian Islands Charter Destinations:

Stromboli

Stromboli is one of the world’s only constantly active volcanoes, erupting every 15 to 20 minutes for the past millennia. Each small explosion shoots bursts of magma into the sky and sends rivulets of lava into the sea. In the daytime this is visible as a plume of gas looking like smoke. At night, you can see fiery red fountains shooting upwards. Stromboli is the southernmost of the Aeolian Archipelago, one of Sicily‘s hottest destinations and live the Aeolian Islands Charter vacation, is really a unique experience. Witness the spectacle at night, by the sea, is a unique experience, in a place where it’s possible to breathe a powerful atmosphere that the volcano transmit to human beings.
Navigating, you let yourself be enchanted by the Sciara del Fuoco, the steep slope of the volcano, which throws purple lava and incandescent lapilli, which fell into the sea, dissolving in clouds of steam.
You can refresh in the cool waters of Ginostra, that can be reached only be sea and you arrive in the harbor of Ficogrande, to visit the village of Stromboli.

Salina

Salina, the second largest Island of the Aeolian Archipelago, known as the Emerald Island, or the green pearl, is instantly recognizable by its two twin volcanic cones. Fossa delle Felci is almost 1000 meters high.
These volcanic cones are covered with a green cloak, made up of the Malvasia vineyards.
You will stop at the spectacular bay of Pollara, manned by Scoglio Faraglione and enclosed in the reddish cliff, near Filo di Branda and Punta Perciato.
After crossing the cliff of Capo Faro, you moor in the touristic port of Santa Maria Salina, pretty village close to the Church of SS. Maria Addolorata (1853 dated).
This enchanting hamlet ends in the Rinella Bay, that includes a little and characteristic fishing village and the only sandy beach of the island.

Obligatory stop during your Aeolian Islands Charter itinerary, is at Alfredo, located in Lingua (south of Santa Maria Salina), worldwide known restaurant that represents the gastronomic tradition of the island.
To live the real Aeolian Islands Charter experience, savoring the sweetness of this Sicilian you have to taste the absolutely outstanding Alfredo’s granita, made with local and seasonal fruits and that must be eaten with the typical brioche. Another dish not to be missed is the pane cunzato (literally “dressed bread”), a tempting and simply huge loaf,  dressed with cherry tomatoes, the famous capers and cucunci, tuna, ricotta cheese, eggplant and typical products of Salina and the Aeolian Islands.

Vulcano

Vulcano, that will still emits sulfur vapors, it’s extremely easy to reach from Milazzo, the main port for the Aeolian Archipelago. After crossing Faro di Gelso, the first stop is the idyllic Baia del Cavallo, where you can enter in the homonymous cave, by tender. Then you can relax in the Piscina di Venere, turquoise body water, in a sapphire blue atmosphere.
Very close to Piscina di Venere, it’s located Porto di Ponente, where you can take a walk on the Sabbie Nere Beach (Black Sands Beach), the darkest of the Aeolian Islands. Then, sailing around the Vulcanello peninsula, you will see on the left, the magnificent Faraglioni di Lipari.
You will disembark in Porto di Levante, for an immersion in Pozza dei Fanghi and for a bath in the beach of Acque Calde, “hot waters”, because of the warm currents that offer a natural hydromassage.
During your Aeolian Islands Charter itinerary it’s obligatory to enjoy the therapeutic mud baths.
The bays on the South and Northwest sides of Vulcano are ideal for swimming, diving and snorkeling.
On your bucket list of the Aeolian Islands Charter experience don’t forget to add the “conquer” of the Gran Cratere, almost 400 meters high, crossing an evocative landscape, shrouded by clouds and with an clamorous view on the other islands of the Aeolian Archipelago.
