This is a tailor-made itinerary for those who are never satisfied with the Caribbean sea. An adventure to live between a dip in turquoise waters and long walks on soft white sand beaches.

The Bahamas are located a few miles away from the US coast of Florida and are easily accessible by both sea and air.
We at Your Boat Holiday offer a long experience of chartering boats in Miami and very often we have organized, at our customer’s request, itineraries toward these beautiful islands.
This time our tour instead plans to land directly on the island of New Providence where Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, is based. The island is indeed equipped with a convenient international airport, Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA). It is the fourth busiest airport in the Caribbean and the main international gateway to The Bahamas.
What to expect sailing from Nassau?
If the Bahamas are the Caribbean destination par excellence, Nassau is more like an island metropolis in which the classic slow Caribbean rhythms contrast with a big city chaotic life made of culture, art, history, and nightlife.
It is a city that welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists every year who come here mainly thanks to the cruise ships that have made Nassau a must.
It is characterized by a hilly landscape and is famous above all for its beaches and coral reefs, a favorite destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
Many of the typical pastel-colored buildings of the British colonial era, such as the Government House, painted in pink tones, still remain of historical and artistic interest.
Why choose a Bahamas sailing itinerary from Nassau?
By their very nature, the Bahamas are an extensive archipelago or, so to speak, an archipelago made up of many archipelagos made up of small islands and tiny atolls. Choosing to spend an entire holiday on just one of the hundreds of available islands can be boring in the long run and, in our humble opinion, even a waste of time considering the fabulous destinations available within a short distance.
This is why having a rental boat for you in these waters is a huge advantage in freedom of movement terms as well as the comfort and quality of your holiday.

Where will we embark from?
So let’s talk about our itinerary, marking the chosen destination day by day. Obviously, as mentioned, our starting point and final destination will be Nassau. In this regard, we have chosen the Nassau Yacht Haven Marina as the embarkation marina. It is centrally located in the city and holds a special place in Nassau’s history as it is its oldest marina.
It boasts 135 berths to accommodate jet skis and yachts up to 200 feet and guarantees deeper water docks than the competition.
Here are the steps recommended by us at Your Boat Holiday for an 8-day sailing tour in the Bahamas:
Day 1 – Leave the port and sail from Nassau harbor to Cabbage Beach, Paradise Island
You don’t need to go far to find something to marvel at. Cabbage Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the Bahamas, with huge waves and sand as far as the eye can see.
Day 2 – Navigate from Paradise Island to Blue Lagoon Island
A short distance away we find a truly unforgettable jewel of the Bahamas: Blue Lagoon Island is a protected marine park where it is possible to meet dolphins and sea lions.
Day 3 – Cruise from Blue Lagoon Island to Cat Island
This island boasts 13 km of pink sand beaches and unique cliffs. Among these we mention the Rollezz beach, located near Old Bight, it is the longest continuous stretch of beach on Cat Island.
Day 4 – Sail from Cat Island to Conception Island
It is located 16 kilometers north of Rum Cay and 40 kilometers southwest of San Salvador and is a land and marine national park. The island is inhabited only by green turtles and giant birds that live between a crystalline cliff and a fabulous beach.
Day 5 – Sailing from Conception Island to Musha Cay
Remote, exclusive, and private island with a beach in the shade of palm trees, it is halfway between a movie location and a fairy tale place. Loved especially by the VIPS.
Day 6 – Cruise from Musha Cay to Big Major Island
Here we head to Big Major Island, one of the best-known islands in the Bahamas due to Pig Beach. A stop here is a must to see the famous Exuma pigs swimming free in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea.
Day 7 – Sail from Big Major Island to Congo Beach, South Andros
Congo Beach is the beautiful silver-colored beach lapped by turquoise waters that stretches from Drigg’s Hill towards Congo Town on the South Andros Island.
Day 8 – Head back to Nassau!
