Where is the Portorosa marina located? How to get there?
Marina di Portorosa is located in the municipality of Furnari, in Sicily, a southern Italy island region. More precisely, it is located on the northeast coast of the island, about two hours by car east from the capital, Palermo, and about two hours by car from Catania airport. It is indeed located in the middle of a natural gulf bordered to the east by the promontory of Milazzo and to the west by the promontory of the Tindari nature reserve.

What services does Furnari / Portorosa offer?

The structure was conceived and designed not only as a port but also as a services center at 360 degrees at the service of tourists, from nautical charters to shopping up to luxurious residences dedicated to those who want to stay overnight or spend their vacation here.

Which Sicilian destinations can be reached by boat from Portorosa?
Obviously, there is no limit to the Sicilian and Tyrrhenian destinations that can be reached from this tourist port. Everything will depend on how many days you will dedicate to your charter and your adventure holiday.
Those following we point out are just a few numbers of the destination you can easily sail to from Portorosa:
The Aeolian archipelago
Portorosa is the ideal starting point for a boat charter to the Aeolian Islands which are located right in front of your boarding, arranged as to form a large Y in front of the northern Sicily coast.
They are a volcanic origin island series, each of them with its own particular charm. We talk about: Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi and Alicudi.
The Aeolian Islands have enchanted travelers from all over the world and are a major tourist attraction for their seabed clarity, their natural environment, two active volcanoes (Stromboli and Vulcano) as well as their characteristic villages with the unique inhabitant’s friendliness.
Cefalù
Another great tourist destination not to be missed is certainly Cefalù. A town overlooking the sea and appreciated for its typicality and cultural and architectural beauty. A wonderful example of this is its cathedral, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.
The beaches here are certainly not far behind. One of the best is the Cefalù Lido, which stands out for its crystal clear waters and its golden sand.
Palermo
It is impossible not to mention Palermo, a wonderful city and the main Sicilian center. The possible attractions here are many and range from culture to art to architecture, up to the beaches that surround it, among all we mention that of Mondello, a real gem not far from the city center.
Taormina
Dating back to 700 BC, Taormina is an authentic Mediterranean pearl and one of the most famous cities, internationally, in all of Sicily. This city represents an intertwining of precious architectural elements dating back to distant eras and world importance archaeological remains, including a wonderful Roman amphitheater.
Not least are its indented coasts full of small bays and beaches. Those who are near Taormina certainly cannot leave without admiring Isola Bella, a small islet connected to the mainland by one of the most beautiful and photographed beaches not only in Taormina but in all of Sicily.
Tropea
This historic center is situated in another Italian region, Calabria, but is easily accessible by boat from Portorosa. It is located high up, about 70 meters above sea level, and dominates the sea which it overlooks. It is characterized by a maze of alleys, streets, churches, noble palaces, panoramic terraces, and incredible sea views that suddenly open up while walking. Among the many things to see, we would like to point out the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Isola, located on a cliff overlooking the Aeolian Islands and the beach of Marina dell’Isola, made of white sand, overlooking a blue sea.
San Vito Lo Capo
This town and its promontory offer some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, all easily accessible by sea. Among the most famous, we recommend the Bue Marino beach and, more generally, the Zingaro natural reserve with its wonderful landscapes.
