The Thailand International Boat Show 2022 confirmed itself as a main event in the Asian nautical scene.
With an excellent number of visitors and a busy program of events, the 2022 edition of the Thailand Yacht Show was also a great success with dozens of international brands and a good number of regional and world yacht previews.
The Thailand International Boat Show was the first international event of its kind since Phuket and Thailand reopened to international tourism in early 2022.
The event saw the participation of a large number of exhibitors, a growing range of boat brands from around the world, and also a large number of companies related to the luxury sector.
A great show for professionals and non-professionals
Celebrating its sixth edition in 2022, the Thailand Yacht Show has confirmed itself not only as one of the leading maritime shows in Southeast Asia but also as a must-see event for those who love to sail and dream of Thailand. The show was guaranteed primarily thanks to the splendid Royal Phuket Marina which served as the backdrop and offered foreign and local visitors the ideal environment to network, relax with friends, or conclude a business, surrounded by magnificent boats and in an exceptional context.
Where did the 2022 Thailand Boat Show take place?
The Royal Phuket Marina was the venue that hosted the sixth edition of the Thailand International Boat Show, which took place from 6 to 9 January 2022.
It was the only boat show organized in one of Thailand’s main marinas and the first such event to have taken place in the last two years.
Also, for this reason, it was welcomed by the public and private sectors with great enthusiasm and as a unique opportunity to return to promoting the maritime pleasure tourism of Phuket and Thailand worldwide.
Which brands were involved?
From simple dinghies to huge superyachts, from tenders and water games, during the four days of the show a huge range of boats, both for sale and charter, all kinds of equipment and many services related to this world were exhibited.
It is no coincidence that many of the most recognizable maritime brands were included among the exhibitors such as Fountaine Pajot, Majesty Yachts, NEEL, Oryx, ILIAD, Silvercraft, LEEN, Nomad Yachts, Stealth Catamarans, Ocean Voyager, Rapido, Corsair Marine, Integrated Marine Service and many more.
On the other hand, as almost always happens in the main world boat shows (such as Cannes, Monaco, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, to name a few), the Thailand International Boat Show has once again proved to be an unmissable event for the main players in the nautical industry, who reasonably consider Southeast Asia as the next frontier of yachting and therefore wish to grab a market share in a populous region, rich in prospects and extending between two different oceans, the Indian and the Pacific.
Not just nautical
In addition to everything related to the nautical world, therefore boats and maritime equipment, visitors also had the opportunity to observe a remarkable display of luxury goods such as luxury cars, motorcycles, watches, and garments that made a fine show of themselves.
The presence of stands of companies linked to the world of health and aesthetic beauty is increasingly important. In general, Thailand is increasingly establishing itself as a research center in these sectors and sees a number of companies engaged in research on herbal treatments as well as on medicine. StemCell 21 and the Intelli Health Plus rejuvenation clinic were examples of this.
Some real estate companies also found space that, through their agents on the spot, were able to present their luxury properties that are located in the area and in the rest of the country. Visitors are in fact always very attracted to the luxury villas and properties that Phuket and the southern islands of Thailand have to offer, especially boaters attracted by the possibility of combining a beautiful home within easy reach of their boat.
Finally, there is no lack of daily entertainment with outdoor dinners along with some unexpected surprises and events. On Children’s Day, for example, (Saturday 8 January) there were many activities and entertainment for the family to keep the children happy and cheering.
